Tennessee Vols Icons Julian Phillips and Kiki Milloy Announce Engagement

Knoxville, Tenn. – April 20, 2025

In news that has electrified the Volunteer community, former University of Tennessee football standouts Julian Phillips and Kiki Milloy revealed today that they are engaged. The announcement, shared via both athletes’ social‑media channels, drew an immediate outpouring of congratulations from fans, teammates, and university officials alike.

Phillips, a dynamic wide receiver for the Vols from 2020 through 2023, and Milloy, who manned the defensive backfield from 2021 to 2024, first met during spring practices in 2021. Sources close to the couple say their friendship quickly blossomed into a relationship grounded in mutual respect both on and off the field.

“Julian has always pushed me to be my best—in drills and in life,” Milloy said in a joint video statement. “I can’t wait to build our future together.”

Phillips echoed those sentiments: “Kiki’s leadership, in the locker room and out, inspired me every single day. I’m so excited to call her my partner for life.”

Vols head coach Josh Heupel, whose tenure included both athletes’ collegiate careers, offered his congratulations as well: “Julian and Kiki exemplify the heart and character we strive for at Tennessee. We couldn’t be happier for them.”

Fans and former teammates flooded social media with celebratory messages. One popular fan account even created a custom graphic featuring the pair in orange and white, captioned “Future Mrs. Milloy–Phillips.”

No wedding date has been set publicly, but insiders suggest the couple plans a late‑summer ceremony in East Tennessee. In the meantime, both remain active in the Knoxville community—Phillips through youth football clinics and Milloy via local mentorship programs.

As two of the most beloved figures in recent Vols history, their engagement marks yet another milestone for a pair whose talents—and now their love story—have left an indelible mark on Tennessee football.
