Manchester United have confirmed another move involving one of their promising academy players, with midfielder Jack Moorhouse joining Scottish Premiership side Dundee on loan for the 2026/27 season.

The 20-year-old is heading into his second senior loan spell after previously spending time with Leyton Orient. During that spell, Moorhouse made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and providing two assists before returning to Manchester United to finish the campaign with the Under-21s.

Moorhouse has also experienced life around the first team, having been included in some senior training sessions and matchday squads. However, he is yet to make his competitive debut for the Red Devils.

The move to Dundee represents another important opportunity for the young midfielder to gain regular senior football and continue developing away from Old Trafford.

Manchester United will be hoping the Scottish Premiership experience helps Moorhouse take another significant step forward in his development. Dundee, meanwhile, will be looking to benefit from a player who has already experienced competitive football at League One level.

For Moorhouse, the objective is simple: play regularly, improve his game and return to Manchester with greater experience.

The loan could prove crucial in determining whether the academy graduate can eventually force his way into United’s first-team plans.
