Micah Parsons is always in the spotlight, whether it’s because he’s defending on the field or causing a stir off it. With the Cowboys officially out of the playoff race, you’d think there won’t be any more drama and what’s left will die down sooner or later.
But nope–it’s only heating up. And this time, it’s all happening on social media.

Cowboys safety Malik Hooker posted an Instagram story tagging Parsons with a scoreboard from a blowout game, saying, “I’ll be in contact 😂😂😂😂.” Fans lost it. While it seems like it’s a playful dig at Parsons’ recent podcast drama, where he made some bold comments about the team’s vibe and performance, sparking some locker-room tension.
Micah Parsons and Malik Hooker got into a bit of a back-and-forth after Hooker called out Parsons for balancing his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons, with the team’s struggles. Hooker basically said, if the Cowboys are slacking, Parsons should be more focused on fixing the squad rather than dropping podcast episodes, saying, “If we’re at work and the run game is terrible but you’re doing a podcast every week, what are you really caring about?”

Fast forward to now, and Malik Hooker’s Instagram story reignited the fire. He tagged Parsons with a playful scoreboard jab, throwing some shade while keeping it light. Fans are wondering whether it’s all just a joke or if bad blood still lingers from the podcast fallout. Either way, with the Cowboys’ season over, the focus is back on team chemistry–and Parsons is definitely in the spotlight.
So, what’s next?
Micah Parsons is wrapping up his rookie deal, and the Cowboys have a big choice ahead. This dude has already proven he’s one of the best in the game, and now he’s ready to cash in.
Parsons wants to secure that new contract before free agency kicks in and has made it clear he’s looking to stick around in Dallas for the long haul.
But, according to NFL.com, he’s also aware the Cowboys have other things to sort out, so if a deal doesn’t go down soon, he might just test the waters next offseason.
Parsons has been straight-up about wanting to stay with the Cowboys, but now it’s up to the team to decide.
With the way he’s been balling, no doubt he’ll secure one of the fattest contracts ever for a defensive player. He said, “I want to be back with this team. This offseason, I want to be here.
I want to get these guys right. I want to take big steps, so hopefully it can be done sooner than later so we can attack the offseason.”
However, the Cowboys are in a bit of a tight spot, though. They gotta juggle that salary cap and keep their defensive star locked down for the future. Speaking of the future, one more player came to mind. Ezekiel Elliott is not with the Cowboys anymore.
But just a couple of days ago, Ezekiel Elliott was released. Yep, Zeke–who’d been the face of the Cowboys’ backfield for years–is officially out.
While he was released on his terms, fans are still processing the move, and the Cowboys needed to make some roster changes. It’s anyone’s guess what’s next for Zeke.
So, while Zeke’s future is up in the air, the Cowboys are looking ahead to what’s next for their roster. We’ll just have to wait and see!
