The family of Ben Christman, the former University of Kentucky and UNLV offensive lineman who passed away on February 11, 2025, has announced his funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Akron, Ohio. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, February 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the Christman family requests that donations be made to the Ben Christman Memorial Scholarship Fund at The Revere School, supporting students who exemplify Ben’s qualities of hard work, resilience, loyalty, and kindness.

Christman, 21, was found deceased in his off-campus apartment near UNLV. His obituary states that he “passed away peacefully in his sleep from natural causes.”

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Christman began his collegiate football career at Ohio State before transferring to Kentucky, where he earned a degree in communications. He had recently joined UNLV’s football program and was recognized for his leadership and positive impact on the team
