Meteorologist Sam Coplin is departing from CBS6 Albany after over two years to join The Weather Channel. Coplin, a Cornell University graduate, expressed gratitude for his time at CBS6, where he honed his forecasting skills and learned to function independently. The Weather Channel is introducing a program that provides localized weather reports from Atlanta, initially targeting markets in the Midwest and South, with potential expansion.
After more than two and a half years with KSAT 12 and a five-year career in television, meteorologist Mia Montgomery announced her departure from the broadcast industry.
