Jeremiah Smith, a standout freshman wide receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes, has been instrumental in the team’s success this season. In the recent Rose Bowl against Oregon, Smith caught seven passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns, contributing significantly to Ohio State’s 41-21 victory.

Prior to joining Ohio State, Smith was the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2024. His exceptional performance has led to comparisons with some of the best receivers in college football history. Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones stated, “Jeremiah Smith is going to be one of the best receivers in college football history, not just Ohio State history, when his three years is up.”

Additionally, Smith has taken steps to protect his future by securing a permanent total disability insurance policy, a rare move for a player of his age. This policy safeguards him against career-ending injuries, both on and off the field.

Given his current commitment and success at Ohio State, there is no indication that Jeremiah Smith is reconsidering his commitment to the Hawkeyes. In fact, Iowa’s head coach, Kirk Ferentz, praised Smith’s talent, stating that he “might be as good as I’ve seen at that point.”
