JUST AS EXPECTED: Big Blue Cat Head Coach was relieved of his duties after a board meeting

Neal Brown, the head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team, was relieved of his duties following a disappointing season that concluded with a 52-15 loss to Texas Tech. This defeat left the team with a 6-6 overall record and a 5-4 mark in Big 12 play. Brown, who was hired in 2019, accumulated a 37-35 record during his tenure, with a 22-28 record in conference games. Despite achieving bowl eligibility in four seasons, his teams struggled against ranked opponents and failed to compete for Big 12 titles.

 

In other coaching news, Mike Babcock resigned as head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets amid allegations of invading players’ privacy.
