Ride to the Sunset: American Supercross Star Chase Sexton Signs 5-Year Contract Extension with Red Bull Worth $5.8 Million

June 12, 2025 – Temecula, CA

In a groundbreaking move set to redefine the trajectory of modern motocross, American professional Supercross and Motocross icon Chase Sexton has signed a five-year contract extension with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, reportedly worth $5.8 million. The deal, dubbed internally as “Ride to the Sunset”, secures Sexton’s position as the face of Red Bull’s off-road racing efforts through the 2030 season.

The announcement came during a high-energy press event hosted at Red Bull’s training facility in Temecula, California. Flanked by his team, family, and Red Bull executives, Sexton expressed his excitement and gratitude in front of a crowd of fans and media.

> “I’ve always dreamed of building a legacy in this sport,” Sexton said, grinning. “This extension gives me the opportunity to continue pushing the limits with the best equipment, team, and support in the industry. I’m proud to keep writing this story with Red Bull.”

Sexton, now 25, first rose to prominence with his aggressive riding style and unshakeable composure under pressure. After turning pro in 2017, he quickly became known as one of the most technically gifted riders in the sport. His switch to Red Bull KTM in late 2023 marked a turning point, resulting in back-to-back podiums throughout the 2024 and 2025 AMA Supercross seasons.

With multiple race wins and two top-three overall finishes in the championship standings since joining the Red Bull squad, Sexton’s stock has only risen. His ability to adapt across both Supercross and Motocross disciplines made him a linchpin in Red Bull’s competitive strategy.

Inside the “Ride to the Sunset” Deal

While Red Bull is traditionally tight-lipped about contract figures, insiders confirmed the extension includes a base salary of $1.16 million per year, performance bonuses, and a robust endorsement package. The total potential value of the agreement is estimated at $5.8 million over five years.

The deal also includes:

Full factory support through 2030

Priority access to R&D testing for next-gen KTM bikes

A post-racing career ambassadorial role

Co-branded merchandise and lifestyle collaborations

“Chase is more than a rider; he’s a brand, a role model, and a cornerstone of our long-term vision,” said Thomas Ziegler, Red Bull Motorsports Director. “We believe he represents the perfect blend of talent, integrity, and excitement.”

Fans React with Thunderous Support

Social media erupted within minutes of the announcement. Hashtags like #RideToTheSunset, #SextonStaysRed, and #RedBullLegacy trended across platforms, with fans expressing excitement and relief that the motocross superstar would remain with the brand.

Many speculated that Sexton may have considered offers from rival teams, but loyalty and vision seem to have won the day.
