Water Polo Department Announcement: Head Coach’s Medical Leave
It is with a mix of both regret and understanding that we announce today that the Head Coach of our Water Polo program will be stepping away from his duties due to health-related concerns. After careful consideration, the coach has decided to take a medical leave of absence to focus on his recovery and well-being. This decision, while difficult, is made with the utmost respect for his health and the demands of his medical situation.
The head coach has been a pivotal figure in our water polo program, guiding the team through numerous victories, challenges, and personal milestones. His leadership, dedication, and passion for the sport have profoundly impacted both the athletes and the broader community. We are grateful for all of his contributions, and his commitment to the development of our student-athletes, and we wish him the best as he takes time to prioritize his health.
In the interim, the water polo team will be supported by an experienced assistant coaching staff, along with additional support from the athletic department. We are confident that our dedicated staff will ensure a smooth transition and that the training, focus, and competitive spirit of the team will continue during this period. The well-being of the athletes remains a top priority, and our commitment to excellence will not waver.
We understand that this announcement may come as a surprise to many of our athletes, staff, and supporters, and we appreciate your understanding as we work through this transition. The head coach’s decision to take medical leave reflects the importance of health and well-being, both physically and mentally, which are values that we hold in high regard in our program. We fully support his decision and hope the community will join us in wishing him a speedy recovery.
As we move forward, we will be monitoring the situation closely and remain in communication with the coaching staff to ensure that the program’s goals, plans, and values are upheld. Our water polo team will continue to train and compete with the same level of commitment and passion that has always defined us. We also encourage all members of the team and community to provide support to the head coach in this time of need, as his health journey is a shared concern among all of us.
We will keep everyone updated on the head coach’s progress and any developments regarding the situation. In the meantime, we ask for privacy and respect for the coach and his family as they navigate this personal and medical matter. We are optimistic that with the right care and attention, the coach will be able to return to the program in the future, continuing the incredible work that he has started
