Cody Gakpo has received encouraging news after undergoing checks on the ankle injury that forced him out of Netherlands duty.
The Liverpool forward was withdrawn during the Netherlands’ match against Serbia after suffering the problem.
Initial fears suggested that the injury could keep him out for a significant period.
However, the latest reports indicate that the situation may not be as serious as first feared.
That is a major relief for Liverpool.
Gakpo has become an important part of the Reds’ attacking options because of his ability to play on the left, through the middle or in other attacking positions.
