Haaland Hails Manchester City’s New Teenage Gem After Stunning Champions League Debut
Manchester City may have discovered another exciting talent after teenage midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi produced an eye-catching performance during the club’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Porto.
The youngster was handed his first full City appearance in one of Europe’s most intimidating atmospheres and responded with an assured display. Bouaddi played 75 minutes, completed 95 percent of his passes, touched the ball 71 times and won every tackle he attempted.
But perhaps the biggest endorsement came from Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian striker, who scored both goals in City’s victory, was full of praise for the teenager and described him as a “gem” following the match.
Haaland’s own performance was equally significant. His brace helped City maintain their perfect start to the season while strengthening his remarkable scoring record.
For City supporters, however, Bouaddi’s emergence may be just as exciting as the result.
Manchester City’s squad already contains enormous experience and quality, but developing another fearless young midfielder could give manager Enzo Maresca another weapon during a season packed with domestic and European football.
If Bouaddi continues developing at this speed, City may have another name ready to explode onto the European stage.
