Harry Kane Smashes Bundesliga Record With 100-Goal Milestone
Harry Kane has written another extraordinary chapter in his career after becoming the fastest player ever to score 100 Bundesliga goals.
The Bayern Munich striker reached the landmark during Friday night’s extraordinary 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin, scoring twice as the champions produced one of their most ruthless performances of the season.
Kane needed only 98 Bundesliga appearances to reach 100 goals, destroying the previous record held by Dieter Müller, who required 129 matches. The England captain then immediately added goal number 101 before the final whistle.
The numbers become even more frightening when his entire Bayern career is considered. Kane now has 156 goals in 156 matches across domestic and international competitions for the German giants.
The striker admitted he was extremely proud of the achievement and suggested his outstanding relationship with Bayern’s attacking players is helping him continue scoring at an extraordinary rate.
Michael Olise stole some of the spotlight with a hat-trick, while Jamal Musiala and Ismael Saibari also found the net.
The victory moved Bayern temporarily to the top of the Bundesliga and sent them into the international break in spectacular form.
Kane’s next challenge is maintaining this incredible consistency.
