LIVERPOOL LOCK DOWN RIO NGUMOHA AS ARSENAL INTEREST FADES
Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a major decision over Rio Ngumoha’s future after renewed interest from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old winger has emerged as one of Liverpool’s most exciting young players and has already accumulated significant first-team experience despite his age.
Arsenal have been monitoring the teenager, creating speculation that he could potentially leave Anfield if Liverpool failed to secure his long-term future.
That scenario now appears increasingly unlikely.
Reports on Tuesday indicate that Liverpool are confident of reaching an agreement with Ngumoha over a new long-term contract.
The youngster reportedly sees his future at Anfield, while Liverpool are determined to reward his rapid development and secure his commitment.
Ngumoha became Liverpool’s youngest-ever senior goalscorer when he scored against Newcastle in August 2025, and his progress has continued since then.
He also started Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Atletico Madrid earlier this month, producing the type of performance that demonstrated why the club values him so highly.
His development has therefore become more than an academy story.
Liverpool now appear to view Ngumoha as part of their long-term first-team plans.
