MAN UNITED PUT PIECES OF OLD TRAFFORD PITCH UP FOR SALE
Manchester United have given supporters a rather unusual opportunity to own a piece of Old Trafford history.
The club is now selling preserved sections of the historic Old Trafford pitch, with each 7x7cm piece priced at £125.
The turf was removed during the summer when the stadium surface was stripped back to its foundation for the first time in 14 years.
Rather than allowing every piece of the old surface to disappear, United preserved sections and placed them inside glass cubes with presentation cases.
The club describes the memorabilia as a way for supporters to keep a physical reminder of the matches and memories created at the Theatre of Dreams.
Interestingly, the first batch has already sold out, showing that there is significant demand among supporters despite the £125 price tag.
The move comes during a major period of change for Manchester United.
The club is preparing plans for a proposed new stadium while continuing to navigate substantial financial commitments.
For generations of supporters, Old Trafford has been much more than a football ground.
It has witnessed title celebrations, European nights, legendary goals and countless unforgettable moments.
Now, fans can literally take home a tiny piece of that history.
