RANGERS CONFIRM CLINTON NSIALA EXIT AS DEFENDER LEAVES FOR UAE
Rangers have confirmed the departure of defender Clinton Nsiala, with the Frenchman completing a permanent move to Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates.
The 22-year-old joined Rangers from AC Milan in 2024 after being regarded as an exciting defensive prospect.
However, his time at Ibrox never developed as expected.
Nsiala made just 17 competitive appearances for Rangers and spent part of last season on loan at Belgian club Westerlo.
After returning to Glasgow, the defender found himself outside Derek McInnes’ plans and was allowed to search for a new club.
Rangers confirmed on September 23 that Nsiala had joined Sharjah for an undisclosed fee.
Reports indicate the transfer could be worth around £300,000, with Rangers also securing a significant sell-on clause.
For Nsiala, the move represents an opportunity to restart his career after struggling to establish himself in Scotland.
His departure also leaves Rangers with another defensive decision to consider as the season progresses.
The defender arrived at Ibrox with expectations that he could develop into an important long-term player.
Instead, his Rangers career ended after just over two years.
Now the Frenchman heads to the UAE hoping regular football can revive the potential that originally attracted Rangers to him.
