Rangers Women 5–2

Rangers Women produced a huge Old Firm statement by defeating Celtic Women 5-2 in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

Celtic made the brighter start and took the lead through Maria McAneny.

Rangers responded quickly.

Jodi McLeary scored twice to turn the match around before Celtic fought back through Chloe Arthur.

At 2-2, the game appeared completely open.

Then Rangers took control.

Hannah Blake restored the lead before Katie Wilkinson added another from a free-kick.

Calliste Brookshire then completed the scoring as Rangers moved to a commanding 5-2 victory.

The result also changed the top of the SWPL table.

Celtic had started the match unbeaten, but Rangers finished the weekend with six wins from six matches.

Celtic’s own official fixture page confirms the 5-2 result and shows Rangers leading the table with 18 points from six games.

For Rangers, the victory was more than three points.

It was a derby win.

It was a five-goal performance.

And it came against an unbeaten Celtic side.

The Gers now have early momentum in the title race, while Celtic must quickly recover from one of their most painful defeats of the campaign.
