Contrary to some reports circulating online, Crystal Palace have not agreed a £50 million deal for Jarrod Bowen. Instead, reports indicate that the Eagles are preparing an ambitious £50m bid for the West Ham United captain as they consider attacking reinforcements before the transfer deadline.

One report claims Liverpool have submitted an opening £50m bid for the Senegal international, although other reports describe the approach as initial contact rather than a completed formal offer.

Palace, however, have made their position clear. Manager Pierre Sage has indicated that the club wants to keep Sarr, who remains under contract and played a major role in Palace’s recent success.

Sarr was particularly influential last season, scoring 21 goals as Palace enjoyed a historic campaign that included European success. His pace, direct running and goal threat have made him an important part of the squad.

The two situations could ultimately be connected.

If Palace lose Sarr to Liverpool, Bowen could become the club’s preferred replacement. At the same time, Palace must decide whether spending £50m on Bowen represents good value, particularly with West Ham likely to demand a substantial fee for their captain.
