Transfer Window Drama Isn’t Over as Several Leagues Remain Open

The Premier League transfer window may have closed, but the summer transfer drama is not completely finished.

While clubs in England have now completed their major summer business, several football markets around the world remain open. This gives players who missed out on moves before the Premier League deadline another opportunity to find a new club.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Portugal are among the markets that continue beyond the Premier League deadline, while other leagues also have different closing dates.

The situation could create another wave of late transfers, particularly for players whose proposed moves collapsed at the last minute.

Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin is one player whose future could remain interesting because of the different closing dates around Europe. A move that could not be completed in England or another major European league may still become possible elsewhere.

Clubs can also continue looking for opportunities in markets that remain open, potentially creating unexpected moves involving players who were thought to be staying where they are.

For football fans, this means the end of the Premier League transfer deadline does not necessarily mean the end of transfer drama.

The biggest European deadline may have passed, but the transfer window still has a few surprises left.

And judging by how chaotic this summer has already been, another shock move could be just around the corner.
