ARSENAL HAND ARTETA HUGE CONTRACT AS MANAGER COMMITS FUTURE
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium beyond his existing deal.
The Spanish coach’s previous agreement was due to expire next summer, but Arsenal have now reached an agreement to extend his stay.
Arteta arrived at Arsenal in December 2019 and has become the club’s longest-serving manager in England’s top four divisions.
His new agreement follows Arsenal’s Premier League title success in the 2025/26 season — their first league championship since 2004.
The contract extension also arrives after Arsenal reached the Champions League final last season.
Arteta had previously insisted there was no reason for supporters to worry about his future, saying the club and manager were aligned over their ambitions.
That commitment has now been formalised.
The extension is significant because Arsenal are attempting to maintain continuity around a squad that has developed into a major force domestically.
Reports also indicate Arsenal are working on new contracts for several key players, including captain Martin Ødegaard and midfielder Declan Rice.
Arteta’s decision removes uncertainty surrounding the manager while the club prepares for another demanding season.
The 44-year-old will now continue leading Arsenal into a new phase of the project.
