Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras, adding another exciting attacking talent to their squad.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract that runs until the summer of 2031, although the transfer remains subject to international clearance. City confirmed the deal on Monday as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Allan arrives after making 96 first-team appearances for Palmeiras. Although primarily a right winger, the Brazilian is capable of operating in midfield and as a second striker, while he has even featured at full-back during his career.

The move reportedly values the player at around €40 million, including potential bonuses. His arrival follows the recent departures and changes within City’s attacking ranks and gives the club another versatile option in the final third.

Allan admitted that joining Manchester City feels surreal and described the move as the proudest moment of his life. He also revealed that conversations with Director of Football Hugo Viana helped convince him that City was the right place for the next stage of his career.

The Brazilian has also spoken about his admiration for City’s attractive style of football and the influence of fellow Brazilians such as Ederson, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus and Vitor Reis.

Now comes the difficult part: adapting to English football. Allan says he is determined to settle quickly, work hard in training and prove that he deserves regular opportunities.

For Manchester City, the signing represents another investment in young talent — and supporters will be watching closely to see whether the Brazilian winger can become the club’s next breakout star.
