Arsenal are facing a huge problem at the Amex as Brighton have taken a commanding 3-0 lead in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The Gunners arrived in Brighton with a perfect league record, but Fabian Hürzeler’s side have completely disrupted their rhythm.
Brighton took control with aggressive attacking football and punished Arsenal whenever space opened up. Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas were among the players who made the difference during a stunning spell for the hosts.
Arsenal have struggled to respond with the same intensity. Their normally dangerous attacking players have found it difficult to break through Brighton’s organisation, while the home side have looked increasingly confident.
Mikel Arteta made changes before kick-off, with Jurrien Timber returning at right-back and Bruno Guimaraes starting in midfield. Noni Madueke was among the substitutes.
The situation is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for the Premier League champions.
Arsenal had entered the weekend with four wins from four league matches and just one goal conceded. Brighton have now exposed weaknesses that few teams had managed to find during the opening weeks.
There is still time for Arsenal to respond, but Brighton currently have the advantage and the momentum.
