Haaland’s Incredible Start Gets Even More Frightening Ahead of Manchester Derby
Erling Haaland is heading into Sunday’s Manchester derby in frightening form, and Manchester United have every reason to be worried.
The Norwegian striker has already scored three Premier League goals this season and added a Champions League brace against Porto, taking his overall tally to five goals in three games in the competition.
Manchester City have also made a perfect start under new manager Enzo Maresca, winning every competitive match since the Community Shield defeat.
Haaland’s current form is particularly significant because City are still adapting to Maresca’s methods.
Despite several new signings and tactical adjustments, the Norwegian has continued to deliver the one thing City need most from their No 9: goals.
United’s defensive problems could make Sunday’s encounter even more dangerous.
Gary Neville has already identified United’s defending as a major concern, while City arrive with one of the most destructive forwards in world football.
Haaland also has history against United.
